Acetaminophen (Tylenol) works well in reducing fever and relieving pain. The medication is currently available in 160 mg/5 ml infant suspension. Previously, it was available in the 80 mg/0.8 ml infant suspension, but not anymore. However, the discontinued medication could still be available.
When using the medicine, look at the concentration in liquid suspensions and the number of milligrams in capsules, tablets, or suppository, making sure they meet the chart.
Please consult our pediatric specialists before giving them any medications for children younger than two months with a fever of temperature > 100.3.
